These consultations help you see your property and its potential through a permaculture lens, and then outline simple, practical steps for enhancing its sustainability and your guests’ experience, too.
In addition to your land, these consultations take into consideration your surrounding community and environment, unique lifestyle, long-term vision, and current budget as well—so that you can develop a holistic plan of action.
The goal of these consultations is not only to help your business become more sustainable in the future, but to make the journey towards increasing sustainability a sustainable process in and of itself—so that the process can yield sustainable results.
These consultations will help you:
Get to know your property and how it integrates with the world around it—the people, the plants, wildlife and microorganisms, the elements and local climate, and most importantly—you. Once you know what’s possible, it’s easier to refine your vision and define a plan for how to develop it.
Holistically understand the nature of your permaculture project. In addition to your property, we’ll also explore the space you have, the time you’d like to spend on developing and caring for it, your budget, and your unique lifestyle as all a part of your project vision—so that you can bring it to life in a personally sustainable way.
Find simple, effective solutions to make your centre more sustainable, save money, expand your brand image/perception, and enhance your guest experience—making your centre more attractive to guests seeking a deeper connection to sustainable wellness.
Develop your plan in stages. Gain a clear sense of where you can start in the short term with high-impact solutions that also support your long-term vision.

How they work
First we meet to discover what you’re looking for, what you have, and review any questions you may have about integrating permaculture into your centre more deeply.
Then we review a framework of potential solutions that you can introduce on your property to bring your vision to life.
What’s included
An initial consultation (in-person or Skype/Zoom) to determine what you’d like and what’s possible based on your space, resources, wishes/requirements.
A follow-up consultation session to review design ideas and permaculture recommendations for making your centre more sustainable.
A list of at least 5 specific systems you can introduce over a timeframe based on your individual environment, lifestyle, and budget that is realistic, so they’ll be sustainable to manage and yield sustainable results.
Guidance on how to apply them that suits you and your centre in the best way
Ongoing support (on-site or online) is available to help you develop your project. If this is of interest to you, we can discuss during the consultation.

Who are these ideal for?
These consultations are for land owners who would like to make their property more environmentally, financially, and energetically sustainable. Whether you operate a commercial property, such as a retreat centre, organic/local restaurant, eco resort, etc.; own a residential property with one or multiple buildings on it, or if you own a piece of raw, undeveloped land—these consultations can help you understand your property and how to work with it, so you can begin implementing sustainability-enhancing solutions immediately.
How is the price determined?
The price of the consultation is based on the size, current state, and location of your property. If an on-site visit is desired or required, travel costs are also factored in.
Are you open to trades or exchanges as a form of payment?
Yes I am—creative solutions that benefit the whole are part of Permaculture’s design thinking methodology. I am open to possibilities and solutions that will allow all parties to benefit. If you have ideas for this, please indicate this when you fill out the form for the consultation request.
