Ayurveda for Yoga Teacher Trainings

Applied Ayurveda module for 200hr Yoga Teacher Trainings

This 5+ hour Ayurveda module gives yoga practitioners and teachers a practical understanding of Ayurveda—what it is, and how it works, and most importantly how to apply it in their lives, their personal practice, and their yoga teaching.

Ayurveda is often presented in a way that focuses on theory and concepts while simultaneously introducing a complexity of information. It’s common for students to walk away feeling confused, overwhelmed, and most notably—unsure of how to integrate all the information into their personal lives so they can start to benefit from it. The most reasonable next step is to consult a doctor, or begin reading books on Ayurveda to get a better grasp on this framework.

I am passionate about making Ayurveda accessible to people a way that is simple, easy to understand, and personally applicable—so that people can begin to recognize it, understand it in themselves, and experience its benefits—and ultimately get to know, through experience, the nature of Self as a lived experience.

To that end, this module offers a simple, personal, and practical approach to Ayurveda by using down-to-earth terminology, modern-day examples, a less-is-more approach (focusing on the foundational components of Ayurveda), and direct, hands-on experience so that students can begin to integrate the information into their personal lives, straight away.
